Dr. Joshua Cotton
Dr. Joshua Cotton is a Senior Management Consultant focusing on hiring the right employees, developing employees, and advising senior leaders in order to reduce turnover, improve employee performance, enhance workplace teamwork, understand employee attitudes, and improve applicant screening. He has advised Navy SEAL Admirals, Generals, and CEOs. Dr. Cotton has consulted with multiple Fortune 500s and DoD organizations including: CSX, DuPont, Service Master, Flowserve, the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command, the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command, and the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. For several years he oversaw the deployment and enhancement of the Navy’s SEAL applicant screening assessment called the Computerized Special Operations Resilience Test (CSORT). His work with the SEALs has remained in use through today to select future SEALs. Throughout his academic career he has received numerous academic awards including membership in the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies and earned a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Memphis. As a thought leader, Dr. Cotton regularly presents his work at the world’s most prestigious psychology conferences. Dr. Cotton is the creator of the Elite Performance Indicator competency and personality assessment (www.EliteIndicator.com), the CEO of Elevate Tempus an Executive Coaching firm (www.ElevateTempus.com), the Founder of a startup supporting veteran owned businesses, a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman Medical School, and the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors for a small nonprofit that uses data and research to advocate for veteran employment.
